I’m a home cook – admittedly probably not a very good one, but hey I try. More importantly I am always eager to learn. Over the years I’ve purchased countless cookbooks and while they have certainly helped me, I’ve always wanted something more – I’ve always wanted what most cookbooks don’t give you: the WHY behind the HOW.

It’s such a simple concept and yet most cookbooks don’t give you this – relying instead on your religiously buying specific ingredients in specific amounts and then mindlessly following directions in order to produce results.
